4 Key Points in Program Development August 2011: Two courses (Wildland Fire Science and Plants of the Pacific NW) started with BTOP funds at 0.25 FTE. September 2011: Field trip seed money fund started with Prineville Rotary donation October 2011: Crook County Court approves field trip support of $7,500 ($1,500 per year for 5 years)

5 Key Points in Program Development December 2011: Articulation agreement reached between CCHS and COCC to offer a third course (Wilderness Management) starting spring 2012 January 2012: Crook County Court approves instructional support of $21,580 to continue program at least through the 2012-13 SY March 2012: Articulation agreement reached between CCHS and COCC to offer a fourth course (Forest Management) starting in fall 2012

6 Key Points in Program Development March 2012: BTOP funds approved to expand program instruction to 0.5 FTE for the 2012-13 SY May 2012: CCHS submits formal Oregon Department of Education (ODE) application for a “New CTE Program of Study” September 2012: CCHS receives formal approval as a “New Program of Study under Development” from ODE

7 Key Points in Program Development October 3, 2012 – Crook County Court approved $66,000 in additional instructional support to guarantee the current 0.5 FTE level of the program continues through SY 2014-15 October 2012 – OWEB Outreach Project Grant to submitted to fund additional field project activities for students that are tied directly to on-going Crooked River Watershed Council (CRWC) projects (July 2013- June 2015 biennium)

8 Key Points in Program Development January 2013 – Regional OWEB Review Committee ranks CCHS / CRWC Outreach Grant # 1 and recommends for full funding by State OWEB Board March 2013 – State OWEB Board meets to approve Outreach Grant requests for the next biennium (July 2013-June 2015) - Approves $45,094 Outreach Grant via Crooked River Watershed Council January 2014 – BLM agreement for $7,000 from Community Education Support Grant

9 Key Points in Program Development October 2014 – OWEB Outreach Education Renewal Grant to submitted for July 2015 – June 2017 biennium February 2015 – Regional OWEB Review Committee ranks CCHS / CRWC Outreach Renewal Grant # 1 and recommends for full funding by State OWEB Board April 2015 – State OWEB Board meets to approve Outreach Grant requests for the next biennium (July 2015-June 2017)
