Ancient Greece is a peninsula which means it is surrounded by water on three sides. It is also covered by mountains. Three thousand years ago it was hard to get around from place to place. Religion in Ancient Greece was important because they believed it would make their lives better. They believed that their gods would take care of them in life and death. The Ancient Greeks built temples for their gods. Priests were some of the most important people in the community.

The achievements in Ancient Greece were democracy, philosophy, and logic.

The Greeks had a lot of different kinds of government because of their many city-states witch each had their own government. About 2000B.C. and 1200b.c. all the city-states had their own king after the dark age most Greek city-states lost their king.
