4 The concept of cause and effect, can easily be seen when talking about WW I, The Great Depression and WW II. The way the Germans were treated during the treaty of Versailles had a direct impact on their financial depression and led the way for hostility to grow further between them and most of Europe. The people feeling so depressed and looking for a way out allowed for Totalitarian leaders like Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini to take power. The effect of these leaders and events the World was thrown into another World War.
