Warm-up: Vocabulary Contribution
Look over Chapters 7-8
Find one word that you think would be a good choice for a vocabulary word. This may be a word that you do not know or is unfamiliar.
Write the word on your ½ notecard. (Your teacher will give this to you.)
Look up the definition for this word. You may use your personal device (cell phone, tablet, etc…) or a dictionary from the shelf. Also find the part of speech for the word (noun, verb, adjective, adverb…).
On one side, write the word ,definition and part of speech.
On the other side write the page number and sentence containing the work.
Take your vocabulary contribution card to the vocabulary bucket.

Find a quote from the Steve Jobs speech that would be a great motivating quote for Brian after his failed attempts to make fire.
