Basic Vocabolario Ragazzo - boy Ragazza - girl L’Uomo - man La Donna - woman Grazie – thank you Prego – welcome Scusi – excuse me OR I’m sorry Coma ti chiami? – What is your name?

Parts of Speech Review Articles – preceding word that determinse the gender and number of a given noun. Ex: (le raggazze – the girls)(female, 2+) Nouns – Person, place, or thing. In Italian, a noun is masc. or fem. Ex: la donna (fem.) Ex: il ragazzo (masc.) Personal Pronouns – I, you, he, she, we, us, they. In Italian, verbs are conjugated according to the subject of which the verb is affecting. More about that in Module 2. More information here!

Articles + Nouns La penna – pen La sorella – sister La pizza – the pizza Le donne – the women (plural!) Il ragazzo – the boy Il padre – father Il cane – the dog I genitori - Parents Gli student – the students *You may notice that using the article isn’t always necessary, but a good place to start!
