Sample Ed. Philosophy I believe that all children are entitled to a quality education supported by nurturing and highly qualified paraprofessionals who support not only academic development, but also encourage emotional development and facilitate strong character. I believe it is vital to engage and motivate each student by utilizing a variety of learning styles and instructional strategies for each child to full realize his/her potential. Multiple intelligence theory and differentiated instruction provide opportunities for each child to use his/her unique talents to make valuable contributions to society, and I want to nurture this potential.

Sample Ed. Philosophy I believe the needs of our global and technological society demand a student-centered approach to learning where a focus on the process of learning is just as vital as the content of learning and students need be active seekers of knowledge. They must be creative and critical thinkers able to effectively evaluate the massive amounts of information they are bombarded with and know how to use technology as a tool to harness this endless supply of information. Students must develop problem solving, inquiry and self-help skills. Moreover, our global society demands students also develop the social skills necessary to interact respectfully and effectively with diverse groups and appreciate the valuable contributions of diversity.

Sample Ed. Philosophy I realize the importance of being knowledgeable in subject areas, teaching strategies and the technology I will be utilizing in the classroom and as a result I am committed to lifelong learning in my pursuit to always provide the highest quality instruction to my students. I am committed to continuous professional development and continually look for opportunities to develop my knowledge and teaching abilities. To this end, I believe in positive and respectful collaboration with colleagues in professional learning communities.

Sample Ed. Philosophy I want to promote a positive classroom culture by modeling respect and with my genuine interest in my students. I believe in encouraging every student to be an active participant in the classroom and motivating learning through differentiated instruction. I model an appreciation of diversity in my classroom. My knowledge of strategies for differentiating instruction will support the unique needs of my students—those with learning challenges as well as those that are gifted, and will promote my belief that all students can learn!

Sample Ed. Philosophy I believe that behavior management should be guided by a focus on positive reinforcement and respect, rather than on punishment. I believe greatly in the use of behavioral modification plans and token reward systems that promote the student’s self-control and responsibility and will encourage cooperative goals that facilitate a classroom of students who genuinely support one another where students are not afraid to take academic risks.

Ed. Philosophy My experience working with children of a variety of ages together with my educational and work background gives me a strong foundation for creating a positive and supportive classroom environment where every child has a voice and where unique talents are encouraged. I believe strongly that even those children with challenges can flourish if the instruction is appropriately geared towards their needs and effective communication occurs not only between the teacher and the student, but also with parents, colleagues and administrators. It is my goal to make a valuable contribution to the lives of the children I touch and to increase my own skill set. I greatly value the feedback and constructive advice of my colleagues. With this philosophy, I have no doubt that every child can be a success!

Last Field Trip! Top 10 Beliefs every Teacher Should Follow at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v= H7_ZtR21adk&feature=related

Top 10 Teaching Beliefs 1. Never humiliate or embarrass a student in front of his or her classmates because you might hurt them more than you think 2. Correction should be done selectively and gently; learn to pick your battles they will respect you for this 3. All children hold the potential to learn, they just need to be given the opportunity to shine and it is your job to provide them with one 4. Children should not be treated equally as their needs are all different and compassion is the first step to understanding their needs 5. You might not be able to save every child but you can always try 6. No child should be left to fall through the cracks remember that it only takes one individual to make a difference 7. A teacher can make a huge difference in a child's life we have them at school for most off the hours they spend awake use this time to your advantage 8. Choosing to become a teacher should be an educated conscious decision if you ever lose the sparkle in your eye it's time to move on 9. As a teacher the benefit of the students is your number one priority remember this when teaching each lesson 10. The school and the classroom teach a child much more than just the curriculum be aware of the impact you can make on a child’s life and be aware of the impact they will have on yours

Good Luck on your Final Project! Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. Ralph Waldo Emerson Get to Work!
