1 The Destinations of Leavers of Higher Education (DLHE) www.salford.ac.uk/dlhe

2 All Universities are required to gather information about what their graduates do after their studies The University will contact you approximately 6 months after completing your course (telephone and email) You will be asked what your status is on a specific date in either APRIL or JANUARY (depending on when you completed your course) The data collected is anonymised and used to inform higher education policy and feeds in to league tables The data is also used by UNISTATS website to provide Key Information Sets which can be used to compare courses or universities. What is DLHE?

3 88.3% of 2012/13 Salford graduates were in work, further study, or about to start work* 87.1% said their university experience had prepared them well for further study and 79% for employment Identifies trends in the labour market, emerging roles and areas where students may need additional careers support The University of Salford provides careers advice, employability enhancing opportunities and access to work experience and graduate jobs. 4 To help current and prospective students gain a clear picture of the graduate labour market in the same way that past students have done To help our Careers Advisers keep informed of trends in the graduate labour market so they are equipped to give the best possible advice to students and graduates and develop appropriate resources to support career development The information is very useful to the University for a variety of purposes such as programme review and marketing and promotional materials.
