3 Important Information AAGP High School  Benefits of a small campus  Starts at 8:15 am – with school day ending at 4:00pm  8 classes are required  One lunch period for all high school students  New campus, only high school students  Attendance is key to success in school  Be on time!

4 Clubs & Organizations  Get involved!!  Some examples: ( Rotary) Interact Club, Writing Club, Art Club, National Honor Society, Christian Club, Spirit Club, Student Council, etc.

5 After School Athletics  Students must have a 2.0 GPA to participate  Football, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball, Softball, Cheer, Volleyball  Further information may be obtained through Coach Northcutt, Athletic Coordinator

6 Grades  Progress Reports issued every 3 & 6 weeks  Report Cards issued every 9 weeks  2 semesters per school year  Permanent grades assigned each semester and these will be on your permanent transcript  70 or better is required to receive credit for the class

7 Credits  1 credit possible per course  0.5 credit for one semester course  Total 8 credits available per year  Below 70 means NO credit  26 credits required for graduation

10 Choosing an Endorsement STEM  Career and Technical Education courses related to STEM  Mathematics  Science  Combination of no more than two of the categories listed above Requirements:  4 credits in Math  4 credits in Science  2 additional electives in the above categories

11 Choosing an Endorsement Business & Industry  Audio/Visual  Finance  Marketing  Business management & Administration  English Electives in Journalism, Public Speaking & Debate Requirements:  4 credits in Math  4 credits in Science  2 additional electives in the above categories

12 Choosing an Endorsement Public Service  Law Enforcement  Corrections and Security Requirements:  4 credits in Math  4 credits in Science  2 additional electives in the above categories

13 Choosing an Endorsement Multi-Disciplinary Choose one of the following:  4 Advanced course from other Endorsement areas  4 credits in each foundation subject area, including  English IV, chemistry & physics  4 credits in Dual Credit classes from English, math, science, social studies, economics, LOTE or fine arts Requirements:  4 credits in Math  4 credits in Science  2 additional electives

14 What does this mean for students?  Students will have the opportunity to create a path towards graduation that is individualized to allow them to realize their post-secondary goals  By the end of the student’s 9 th grade year, they will need to have a personal graduation plan on file with the counselor to ensure these goals are met.
