7 Goals A. Quality By 2018: 1. All KPU graduates are well-prepared for successful citizenship  i.e., all programs have clear and relevant outcomes (knowledge, skills, application, and personal and social responsibility), and our graduates can demonstrate that these outcomes have been achieved.

8 Goals A Quality By 2018: 2. KPU is a sustainable, integrated, and transparent organization that supports learning.  i.e., our operations are guided by cross-institutional communication, integrated planning, employee engagement, and shared decision-making.

9 Goals A Quality By 2018: 3. Learner engagement and retention at KPU show continuous improvement. i.e., we recognize that more engagement in an inclusive, safe and vibrant campus promotes excellence among learners.

10 Goals B Reputation By 2018: 1. KPU is internationally recognized for its teaching and its scholarship i.e., we document and share our teaching excellence and our scholarship, support innovation, and disseminate our achievements through events, publications, and awards.

11 Goals B Reputation By 2018: 2. KPU’s unique identity is clearly articulated and well understood across the University and beyond  i.e., we understand and can articulate our unique role in higher education, and we take pride in our important endeavors.

12 Goals B Reputation By 2018: 3. KPU is the foremost provider of continuing and professional education in its region  i.e., we seek and respond to the changing needs of the many busy people in our region who need or want to learn more.

13 Goals C Relevance By 2018: 1. The impact of KPU’s community engagement has doubled  i.e., we track and support our community engagement (social, cultural and economic), assess its impact, and then tell our story; our community relationships are authentic and rooted in the principle of reciprocity.

14 Goals C Relevance By 2018: 2. KPU’s operations support purposeful and sustainable learner FTE growth of at least 5% annually  i.e., growth will be achieved through improved student retention and increases in international students, continuing and professional education, and government supported FTE growth.

15 Goals C Relevance By 2018: 3. Experiential learning is integrated into every KPU program, connecting theory to application and the classroom to the community. i.e., every program includes “real world” learning and brings the learning of the community into our classroom to ensure program relevance.
