1 Sowing and Reaping Genesis 8:22 God's Master Law of Increase Genesis 8:22 "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease."

2 We Must Sow to Reap 1. Increase always depends on seedtime and harvest, sowing and reaping. 2. There are all kinds of fields and all kinds of things called seed. You are a warehouse of seed. 3. Expect every harvest to come from a seed – we must sow to reap. 4. We have no right to expect a harvest without sowing seed.

3 Actions, Attitudes, and Behaviors are Seeds Sowing and reaping has an application on a personal or behavioral level. Galatians 6:7-9 7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

4 Connecting With People 1. Inability to connect with people will hinder you. 2. People connecting with you can be a harvest. 3. Our people contacts and relationships are the field we sow into. 4. You are a walking/talking warehouse of seed. 5. If we want a harvest of connecting with people we must sow seeds of connection with people. 6. We have no right to expect a harvest of connection with people without sowing seeds of connection.

5 Our Blessing Includes Gathering Deuteronomy 11:13-14 13 And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the Lord your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, 14 That I will give you the rain of your land in his due season, the first rain and the latter rain, that thou mayest gather in thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil. Gather – to collect, amass, or accumulate; to bring close; to pick or harvest; to twist or fold together; to roll into a mass; to assemble, bring or come together.

6 Six Behaviors to Sow to Connect Behaviors to sow for a people connection harvest. 1.Sow genuine interest in other people (be engaging). 2. Sow a smile and eye contact (be approachable). 3.Sow the most important sound in any language – the persons name (be personable). 4.Sow good listening and encourage others to talk about themselves (be attentive). 5.Sow talk in terms of the other persons interests (be tactful). 6.Sow sincere feelings and value of the other persons importance (be affirming/sow admiration).

7 Bad Seed to Sow Ten Seeds to Sow to Avoid Connecting 1. Don't talk. 2. Remain expressionless. Never show your feelings. 3. Never admit anything ever bothers you. 4. Always win. 5. Always keep busy. 6. Always be right. 7. Never disagree. 8. Make others guess what you want. 9. Always look out for number one. 10. Be distracted and keep distractions readily available.
