5 Classroom Web Sites Acceptable Use Policy If your district does not have an AUP use the Internet to find templates. Have your students and their parents sign a responsible use statement each year.

14 Web Site Maintenance You may put out the plea, “Save me Mr. Wizard” Or, you may become the wizard…

15 Maintenance Checklist Remove information items whose time has passed. Move older projects deeper into the site; place new projects and information on or just off the home page. Remove links that aren’t working. Education sites are typically down during holidays and school breaks. Don’t have typos Correct typos immediately

16 Maintenance Checklist Check your links to make sure they are working. Change graphics frequently. It gives your site a fresh look. Check for new information from other teachers – music, P.E. Check your humor and tone. Ask your kids what they want.
