8.  You must provide a valid email address as you will receive an email with a link to verify your account.  If you don’t immediately get an email, please check your SPAM for an email from AMSTI Web Support.

9. Choose “USA” You may want to write down your username and password or email it to yourself. You will need this password for future online AMSTI sessions.

12. Open the email. Click on the link to confirm your account. If you don’t immediately get an email or cannot find the email, please check your SPAM folder for an email from AMSTI Web Support.

13.  Your enrollment key was emailed to you by Susan Andress when you registered. Enter that at this time and click “Enroll me”.  This enrollment key is for REGISTERED Summer Institute participants only and cannot be used by other people.

14.  Microsoft Silverlight is required to view the course videos! You can download this from the Microsoft website.  The videos are delivered via a high- bandwidth, rich-media stream. Some school networks have difficulty streaming the videos. You may have to view the videos from another location such as your home.

15.  Complete and submit the form for assistance or email/call Jerry Cobbs.

16. Instructions are on the right-hand side. Please begin by clicking “Watch This Video”.

17. Tip 1: You may have to “refresh” your screen for the checkmark to appear. Tip 2: Any item titled “Discuss” requires you to write a response and post it to the forum in order to receive the checkmark.

18.  When I leave Moodle and come back later, where do I go to pick back up with my PD? You can click on “My Home” under the NAVIGATION bar or you can choose “Math Journaling” under COURSES and navigate your way back to your course.  How do I log out? On the upper right portion of your screen you will see “your are logged in as…”. Logout is at the end of this in parenthesis.  Where do I go if I hit the “home” button? HOME will take you to the website’s home page “My Home” or “My Courses” will get you back to your journaling session if you are logged in.

19. Please remember to fill out the top portion of the form, so we know who to give credit to.

20.  Download the form attached to the email from Susan Andress.  Choose a method for completing the form: type and save directly onto the form. print it and handwrite your plan in the boxes.  Choose a method for submitting the form: scan it and email it to your specialist. take a picture with your cell phone and email it to your specialist. fax it to our office at (251)665-4829.  Please make sure to include your name, your school, and the specialist’s name.
