3 Task Two Read the poem ‘The Justice Bell’ by Dave Kirby and highlight the poetic techniques used within the poem. Answer the discussion questions either in groups or individually.

4 Discussion Questions What is the poem about? Who are the 96 souls? What happened when the clock was locked at 3:06? Why does the poet call the crowd a ‘sea of death’? What poetic device is this? Can you find examples of personification in the poem?

5 Task Three Can you write your own poem dedicated to the Hillsborough disaster?
