New Immigrants entered the United States at Ellis Island, which is located in New York Harbor!
Where did the Immigrants mostly come from?
Eastern and Southern Europe! Immigrants didn’t speak much English and were usually very poor.
Poor immigrants had to pass strict tests, such as physical exams, literacy exams, and monetary interrogations.
