Pant Institute of Social Science, Allahabad.  Suggestions given by External Evaluation Agencies are under consideration of MDM Authority.  Daily monitoring of regularity of meals provided being successfully done through IVRS based real-time monitoring.  Spot inspection based on exception reports generated out of DMS.  Spot inspection done for cross checking the IVRS data as part of concurrent monitoring. 11

32 Best Practices An IVRS program was also introduced for monitoring the implementation of MDM program at school level. Commissioners, District Magistrates, BSAs & Block Education Officers are provided login with a Password to monitor & supervise the program on daily basis with the help of IVR system. 33 Best Practices A new Mid Day meal register have been developed with the help of UNICEF and supplied to all schools of the state. The new register has many new features of foodgrain and fund accounting, hand washing, tasting of food by atleast two persons, etc. This register has been praised by the GOI team which visited the State in Jan, 2015. 34 Best Practices To Improve coordination among different agencies for payment of Cost of Food Grain, a web based system has been developed on www.upmdm.org and login facility has been given to FCI. So that the bills raised by them against the lifted quantity of food grains could be immediately uploaded and viewed by all. Also, timely payment could be made accordingly, which will also remain visible to all.
