18 Course Registration For Fall 2014: Continue to work with your advisor if not yet registered Financial liability once enrolled What to do if you decide not to attend UB in the fall For Spring 2015: Registration date (enrollment appointment) assigned in fall Don’t miss your date – may be different from a friend’s Meet with advisor and clear holds before registering Mandatory advising for many majors and Finish in 4 students *Be mindful of dates & deadlines. Classes fill quickly – register on time!*

20 Adding/Dropping/Resigning Courses Via Your HUB Student Center Adding & Dropping No financial liability Changes will not appear on transcript Resigning Grade of “R” permanently on record No credits earned; no grade factored in GPA Affects attempted credits Full financial liability Fall 2014 Deadline: up until end of 7 th instructional day of classes Tuesday, September 2 nd by 11:59 pm (via HUB Student Center) Fall 2014 Deadline: up until end of 11 th week of the semester Friday, November 7 th by 11:59 pm (via HUB Student Center)

21 Other Policies Academic Withdrawal By petition only under extenuating circumstances Grades for all courses in semester changed to “W” Leave of Absence (LOA) Apply for break in enrollment for 1 or 2 semesters Must have at least 2.0 GPA to qualify for LOA Re-Entry If you do not continuously enroll or file Leave of Absence Requires academic review if under 2.0 GPA Deadline: end of subsequent semester of event Deadline: by the 7 th instructional day of classes of first term you request leave Deadline: July 1 st – Fall; December 1 st – Spring
