2 www.ara.net.au The Australasian Railway Association Member based organisation representing all Australia and NZ stakeholders involved in the rail industry. The fundamental purpose of the ARA is to create an environment that will permit the Australasian rail industry to prosper. The ARA provides policy advise to governments and members and provides advocacy for the rail industry. Through RISSB we deal with issues such as the standardisation of rail practices across Australia.
