2. Why Engineering? Grew up going to construction sites and was interested in civil systems. Initially wanted to be garbage man or nurse. Became interested in water quality and resources. Graduated from Hayward High School in 2008

3. Path to Transferring Decided that Chabot College was the best option for me to become a civil engineer. Started at Chabot full time in Fall 2008. Trained for swimming ~20 hours / week while going to school. Took 3 years to complete coursework at Chabot.

5. Advice for Students Your math classes are the foundation for your engineering education. Take advantage of the help offered by professors and the Math Lab. Master time management and organizational skills at Chabot. Pay attention in ENGR 25!

6. Differences between Chabot and Cal Pace at Cal is twice as fast as Chabot. A lot more people in your major. Coursework and tests are harder. Midterms are very time sensitive Biggest Surprises: Not everyone at Cal is a genius. Having to stay up late and not sleep much.
