2 Thesis E.S # 1,2 I can craft a focused and sophisticated thesis that outlines a cohesive and compelling argument to address a given prompt and organize my essay in a way that follows the thesis and supports the purpose of the essay The media pass many subliminal messages about African American women. This led to stereo types and racial negativity among African American women, thus causing them to suffer when trying to succeed in society. To take a case in, television reality show Love in Hip Hop from VH1, staring Jim Jones, his fiancé Chrissy Jones and his mother is a valid media source that portrays many famous African American women. With that said many African American women in society, young and old look up to these women. Stats from Kimberleigh Beard say that, “the women that we see watching this television are willing participants and adults. We also explored the concept of White media in regards to the power that African Americans may or may not have to control their own representation and were again left with questions”.
