Smell Smell is a very important sense because it could save your life. If you were in a burning building, you would need to be able to smell the smoke, in order to get out of the room safely.

Taste Another sense that you use everyday is taste. Just think of how boring it would be if everything tasted the same. That means that pizza would taste the same as broccoli. YUCK!!! This tastes like broccoli.

Touch Try to imagine how many things you touch a day. That’s a pretty big number! Just think about all of the things you would miss out on if you couldn’t touch or feel anything.

Hear It is also very important to be able to hear. You can hear what people are saying to you and you can hear all the different sounds outside. Without ears you wouldn’t be able to hear the TV or the radio, and that would be pretty boring.

See Being able to see is great, because you can tell who someone is, what color something is, and many other things. If you weren’t able to see you would just be walking around feeling completely lost, and you would never be able to go anywhere by yourself. Go here to watch a video: http://www.kizclub.com/sensesstory/see.html

Are they really important? All of the senses are important, because each one of them helps you every single day of your life. I want you to take a few minutes to think about how different your life would be without at least one of your senses.

Daily Use of Senses You hear your mom yell that dinner is ready. Then you see dinner on the table. Then you smell food as you walk to the kitchen. Then you touch the fork when you pick it up. Then finally you taste the food.

I’m so happy to have all of my senses!!!!
