2 iPod Touch Do so much with ipod touch! iPod touch runs the iPhone Operating System, which can play audio, video, and browse the web. Even better, the App Store has nearly 200,000 apps that extend the usefulness and effectiveness of iPod touch in classrooms and education.

3 iPod touch Apps There are nearly 200,000 software applications for iPod touch and iPhone available from the iTunes App Store. You can browse the App Store on your iPod or in iTunes on your desktop. 6 Installing iPod touch Apps Installing software on iPod touch or iPhone is ridiculously easy. All software applications (known as "apps") can be found in the App Store section of the iTunes Store. Most people know this by now, but I should mention that iTunes works on Windows computers just as well as it works on Macintoshes. The App Store is organized much like the Music Store.

7 Web Apps www.apple.com/webapps/ are websites that are specifically designed for iPod touch and iPhone's Safari browser. Apple lists hundreds of web apps in their directory. However, you'll notice a lack of an Education category. But, you can find some really useful web apps in other categories, particularly in the Calculate andProductivity sections.their directoryCalculateProductivity Nearly all web apps are free to use. Some do include advertisements. You should know that a definite disadvantage to web apps is that they require a wireless Internet connection. No connection = no access to the web app. You don't experience this issue if you download and install software applications.software applications

8 Apple's directory isn't the only place to find web apps. Check out: iLoungeiLounge, iPhone Applications ListiPhone Applications List, and Everything iCafeEverything iCafe. On your iPod, go to: wakoopa.com or wakoopa.com app.getleaflets.com/applistapp.getleaflets.com/applist, which are actually web apps that are directories to dozens of other web apps.
