8 Not all change is improvement …but this one is! The integration has: allowed a shift in emphasis of student learning which is more clearly in line with the current quality agenda enabled a well-structured, embedded and sustained approach to the teaching of quality and patient safety resulted in increased student enthusiasm for quality and safety - recently evidenced by ~60 of our students attending a conference focussed on patient-centred care promoted shared learning across the different nursing fields and embraced by a widening group of academic staff involved in facilitating tutorial sessions allowed us to be one of the first UK Schools to embed the courses throughout all our undergraduate curricula
