It's actually more than just a wee project for me. I know that's how it's been handled... a bit of the frustration is... the Includem element in the evaluation is being touted as a project on its own. What is being evaluated ?

Information-sharing One of the concerns that’s been around has been the tension between us working really closely with these vulnerable young people and being directly linked to Strathclyde Police, because there could be a conflict of interest. We don’t want young people to see us as a conduit for the police to get information, to then come back at them with. But there will be grey areas because I think what’ll come up is, ‘Okay, young people are doing things that we find out about. When has it got to be reported back? What’s the view on the tolerance level?’. This is where the relationships will possibly be tested. I think that was more of a concern for me if we don’t stick with the early intervention, and the idea was that it was supposed to be for the youngsters that were sort of on the periphery of the gangs and trying to prevent them from becoming full blown members.
