2. Applying for Financial Aid Complete the FAFSA each February for the coming fall school year (the year runs August thru July). If you plan to borrow for summer school, contact Financial Aid about March 1 st. It isn’t too late to file for Fall 2014 but apply early next year, estimate if necessary to meet early deadlines Enroll at least half time (5 hours) to receive most types of aid - be aware of limits on both hours and loans.

3. Apply and Verify You are not eligible for aid if you are not degree seeking Students must make satisfactory academic progress to continue receiving aid (includes loans, graduate plus loans and work study) Additional documentation may be required… for VERIFICATION of information Keep a copy of all documents for your records

Verify, continued Keep a copy of all documents for your records –IRS Tax Return Transcript/W-2 Forms (we cannot accept a Tax Return) –Untaxed income (Social Security, Child Support, Pension Distribution, other) –Family size –Family members attending college –Other... (Child Support Paid, SNAP Benefits, other) –Remember… If we ask for documents, we cannot process your award until we have received them back from you and they have been reviewed.

Things to Remember… Read emails regularly Respond promptly to requests for information Make sure forms are completed Banner ID – Know It – Include it on all documents Buckley – Parent/Guardian/Other must be on this form to get specific student information Students must authorize Financial Aid to pay for expenses other than Direct Costs, make sure to complete this release so your aid can cover these additional charges on your Cashier’s student account (health service fees, etc…)
