6. Where do we start?  Teacher inservice day – 28 August  Training will be provided on the following programs:  Word - word processor/desktop publisher  PowerPoint – slideshow presentation  Excel – spreadsheet

7. What will we learn?  How to create personalized letters to students and/or their parents using templates and data (Word & Excel)  How to create brochures, posters, etc. (Word)  How to create a database to record student data, including grades, behavior, personal information (Excel)  How to create instructional slideshows for your lessons (PowerPoint)

8. Do we need to prepare ahead of time?  No advance preparation required  Bring positive attitudes and open minds  Be prepared to learn something new & exciting!  Expect to have fun!

9. Most of all, remember that: Technology is a tool You are in control You are helping prepare students for college and/or the workplace They expect it: they use technology on a daily basis
