I’m responsible for customer service. I am Bruce Hunter and I am in charge of human resources. My name is Charlotte Braun and I head the finance section. May I introduce myself? Excuse me. Sorry to bother you, but can I just introduce myself quickly? Introducing people to each other Peter, let me introduce you to Carol Marsh from out parent company in Vancouver. Carol, this is Peter Richards, our chairman. Jenny, I’d like you to meet Anna Williams. Anna’s our new marketing manager. Anna, this is Jenny Jackson, our research manager. Susan, I’d like to introduce someone to you. This is Mark Tween, who will be spending the next month with us an intern.

Can I take your coat for you? Would you like some tea or coffee? Would you like to use our phone or internet? Telling visitor about your department (university) The university was founded in 1952. In the 1960´s the University developed step by step. In these days Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague (CULS) provides complete university education. The studies are divided into three layers in accord with the Bologna Conference of Representatives of EU Universities and Schools of Higher Learning.

6 Invitations Inviting people for a meal or drink
Would you like to come to dinner this evening? Have you got time to go out with us this evening? How about a (quick) drink after work today? Shall we do lunch sometime this week, or are you too busy? Accepting invitations I’d be delighted thank you very much. Oh, that would be lovely! That’s a great idea. That sounds good. That sounds like a good idea.

7 Invitations Suggesting days, times and places How about Wednesday?
Would Thursday suit you? Mondays looks good at the moment? Is seven o’clock convenient for you? Saying no to invitations Oh, what a nice idea! But I’m afraid I won’t be in town. Sorry, I’d love to. But I have to prepare for tomorrow. Sorry, Mike. This week’s not very convenient for me. That would be great , but I’m afraid I‘m already booked up on Tuesday.

8 Saying goodbye Saying that you have to go
I think I should make a move soon. I’m afraid I should be on my way before the traffic gets too bad. Sorry, but I really have to get going. Saying thank you Thank you so much for organizing everything during my visit. Thanks for bringing me to the airport, Bill. That was a great help.
