2 Aim of this course  When the role of electronic publishing becomes more and more important in the world, as a librarian, it would be necessary to catch up the trend in order to face the new challenges brought by new media.

3 Content of this course  This course will introduce students to the basic concepts of electronic publishing and help students to understand the development of e- publishing in publishing industry and its current state; moreover, give students the issues involved in e-publishing in library area.

5 Assessment  1) A 40% of the total marks is to be allocated for the essays and a e- publishing project.  2) Presentation of topic leadership accounts and contribution to the course for 30%  4) Examinations for 30%
