3 It’s used to connect two verbs. VERB 1 + VERB 2 THE SECOND VERB can take one of three different forms: to + infinitive, infinitive without to, -ing It depends on THE FIRST VERB which form it will take.

4 VERB 1 (*) + VERB 2 (*) It belongs to the first list of verbs in your WS. (agree, appear, arrange, etc.) Example: I hope to pass the exam. VERB 1 (*)VERB 2 hopepass travel
