7 Natural Resources Wind Coal

8 Some natural resources are not made quickly by Earth.
It can take millions of years for minerals to form. We use minerals everyday. Once these resources are gone, they can not be quickly replaced.

9 Why should we care for Earth’s Resources

10 Pollution We need Earth’s land, air and water.
When resources are wasted or made dirty, we can not use them. Pollution is anything that makes water, air, or land dirty. Factories and cars can make air pollution Oil spills and other garbage in the water can hurt animals.

13 LITTER Litter is garbage that people leave behind.
Pick up litter to stop land and water pollution. After having a picnic or playing outside, clean up garbage.

14 How can we save Earth’s Resources

15 RE DUCE - means to cut back on how much you use something.
For example: Shut off the water while brushing your teeth. REUSE- means to use something again. This egg carton now holds paint. For example: Using plastics for decorations RECYCLE- means to make new items out of old items. For example: Paper, glass, plastic and metals can be recycled.
