Describe the similarities and differences of a sabre saw, jigsaw, and reciprocating saw on a handout in class with 90% accuracy. Identify the safety procedures associated with these saws on a test with 100% accuracy. Safely operate a jigsaw in the shop with 75% accuracy.

5 What is a sabre saw/jigsaw?
Used to cut circles, curves, and holes in different materials. Blades for wood, metal, drywall/plaster, plastic

7 What is a reciprocating saw?
Saw that uses a reciprocating motor to move a small blade up and down across the object to be cut Used more for demolition

9 Safety ALWAYS wear eye protection!
The material should be secured with a bench vice or clamp. Do NOT adjust the saw when the motor is running. Needs to be cleaned regularly.
