3 Overview Getting your suppliers registered in Ariba smoothly is integral to getting suppliers to participate in using Ariba’s solutions. With recent improvements to the software, Suppliers can now access the whole Ariba Network and any solutions they use with Ariba’s Unified Seller Experience, so getting them registered easily is more important than ever. There are now multiple registration options to choose from depending on your business needs. © 2012 Ariba, Inc. All rights reserved. 3

4 Cloud Registration for Existing Sellers Seller already exists in Buyer’s realm  Buyer generates a password for the supplier or invites them to a Sourcing event  The supplier receives an email and clicks to follow the link  Supplier is directed to the new cloud login portal  Supplier can choose to link to an existing Cloud account or create a new account © 2012 Ariba, Inc. All rights reserved. 4

5 4 Types of Registration for New Sellers 1. Buyer Profile Registration  Buyers have business opportunities, supplier research, or supplier development opportunities for Sellers. Sellers can link directly to a Buyer Profile page on Ariba Discovery and see the different opportunities which they can directly respond to. 2. Cloud-Only Registration  Sellers walk up to the Ariba cloud and register as a cloud supplier independent of any buyer. They can respond to posts and get discovered by any buyer by virtue of being on the cloud. 3. Directed Passive Registration  Buyers are tired of being cold called and spammed by sellers/salespeople soliciting them to make a relationship and sell them something. Therefore they want to allow unknown suppliers to register with their company. 4. Directed Full Registration  Buyers want the seller to fill out the details of the seller’s profile as part of a registration process. The Buyer may put out a direct solicitation if a seller has subscribed to a TED/OJEU open tender notices. © 2012 Ariba, Inc. All rights reserved. 5

If the supplier is the admin of the organization/company on the cloud they fill this out. They also can just be a sub-user of an existing company that they are linked to and in this case the admin of that account manages this profile for this sub user. Note: Duplicate accounts are prevented/discouraged when we encounter username collisions and email address matches. We do not discourage in any way multiple people from the same company registering.
