3 Middle School Graduation Requirements  High School registration time is exciting and fun. However, we can’t lose focus on passing 8 th grade to get there.  8 th Grade Graduation Requirements:  1: You must pass your academic classes. It is not too late to turn things around. If you are concerned about your grades, ask any of your teachers or me for help.  2: You must pass the Reading and Math portions of the CRCT. You will be tested over the information that your teachers have taught you throughout this school year. If you are struggling in one area, this is a great time to begin to receive more help in preparation for the CRCT.

4 High School Graduation Requirements  23 total units required for all students 4 units of English/LA 4 units of Math 4 units of Science 3 units of SS 1 unit of Health and PE 3 units of CTAE, Foreign Language or Fine Arts 4 additional units of electives  Make sure 2-3 of your elective units are Foreign Language if you plan on attending college!!!!

5 Promotion Requirements  In order to be considered a 10 th grader (sophomore) your second year of high school, you must earn a minimum of five units which include one unit each of required English, Mathematics, and Science courses.

7 Career Development is…  A lifelong process by which individuals define and redefine career-related choices and outcomes. (NOICC, March 1994)

8 Career Pathway  Is a coherent, articulated sequence of rigorous academic and career/technical courses, usually beginning in the 9 th grade and leading to a diploma, associate degree, baccalaureate degree and beyond.
