18 EU Twinnings - Annual envelope of 5-7 MEUR (3 new Twinnings per year) - Requests from state institutions can cover all aspects of EU approximation process where there is EU acquis (preferable the areas negotiated in the AA and DCFTA) State of affairs: 2 ongoing Twinnings - Parliament (FR, HU) Penitentiary system (D, NL) 2 Twinnings just signed in Procurement (RO), and Intellectual Property Rights (DK, RO). 22 EU Neighbourhood Investment Facility Modernisation of the Republican Clinical Hospital –The project aims to improve the efficiency of health assistance 20.5 MEUR CEB Chisinau 3 MEUR NIF Airport Modernisation Project –rehabilitation and upgrades of the airport, and its further commercialisation 46.25 MEUR EBRD (EIB) 1.75 MEUR NIF Road Rehabilitation project –to halt the deterioration of the road network and to ensure that key road links are maintained. 92.5 MEUR EBRD (EIB) 12 MEUR NIF Feasibility Study for the Improvement of Water and Sanitation System in Chisinau The study is the basis for a large investment programme aimed at the improvement of water supply and sewage collection and treatment in Chisinau. 59 MEUR EBRD (EIB and KfW) 3 MEUR NIF

23 EU NIF pipeline Water Utilities Development Programme –targeting six selected municipal utilities, focuses on the improvement of the water supply and wastewater treatment services through the expansion of water supply and wastewater treatment infrastructure outside the Chisinau. 31.5 MEUR EBRD (EIB) 10 MEUR NIF Chisinau Transport Project –improving public transport services in the city of Chisinau. Upgrading Chisinau’s trolleybus fleet, it will have a strong positive impact on the environment and also improve social services and social infrastructures primarily benefiting the lower-income population of the capital.15.45 MEUR EBRD (EIB) 3 MEUR NIF

24 EU NIF pipeline Moldova Roads Rehabilitation III Project - to halt the deterioration of the road network in the Republic of Moldova and to ensure that key road links are maintained. Filière-du-vin Upgrading - to increase sector revenues without increasing wine production volumes, but by developing higher value wines. It will further stabilise the existing industry and put it onto a more financially viable footing and diversify client markets

25 EU NIF regional Regional Energy Efficiency Programme in the Corporate Sector This Technical Assistance aims at improving energy efficiency and energy savings in the corporate sector in a number of countries of the Eastern Neighbourhood.302 MEUR EBRD 2 MEUR NIF European Neighbourhood Fund (ENBF) The Fund aims at improving access to finance by Micro and Small Enterprises in the Eastern Neighbourhood region, thus providing stimulus to growth and employment in the private sector. 70 MEUR KfW (OeEB) 10 MEUR NIF Financial Sector Institution Building and Crisis Response This Technical Assistance aims at restoring access to credit by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in the Eastern neighbourhood region and Russia by providing assistance to banks which have been particularly affected by the financial crisis. 12 MEUR EBRD Eastern Partnership - SME Finance Facility. The Facility aims at offering a wide range of financial services and products to SMEs and financial intermediaries throughout the region, increasing the availability of long-term funding to the SME sector and helping the economies to recover from the economic and financial crisis. €300 M EIB, EBRD (KfW) 15 MEUR NIF
