2 Who can take online classes with COA? Any student in the state of Arizona, between the ages of 12 and 22, can take classes with Chandler Online Academy. Students can enroll in one of our programs: 1. Full-time - Student takes all classes online with COA 2. Concurrent - Student takes part (1-5 classes) of their full schedule of classes online with COA while taking their full schedule of classes online with COA while taking the remainder of classes at a brick & mortar school the remainder of classes at a brick & mortar school 3. Part-time - Student pays for an online class from COA that they take in addition to their full schedule of classes at another school **Enrollment is continuous: Students can enroll any day between July – April 19 th ***COA Students take classes 100% from home and must have a computer with high speed internet access.

4 Who is a good candidate for online learning? Students who have intrinsic motivation to learn and complete requirements for high school. Find Chandler Online Academy. 2. Click the “Counselor Information” page under the “What’s New” tab. 3. Complete the quick and easy “Request a Mentor Account” form. 4. Receive your log-in information within 1 business day. 5. Return to the “Counselor Information” page any time you want to check your students’ progress and click “Mentor Account Log-in Page”

10 Part-time, Concurrent, Full-time Students: What’s the difference? Part-timeConcurrentFull-time Enrollment Student obtains code from Counselor and enrolls online. Pays for course online at time of registration: $160 Student obtains approval from Counselor. May enroll in up to 6 total classes without cost. Student stays enrolled at B&M Students withdraw from their current school first, then complete the full- time enrollment form online Orientation No, students receive an email with login information and policies Yes, the student and parent are required to participate in the virtual orientation before starting class Attendance Students are encouraged to work consistently but are not required to report attendance Yes, students must work a minimum of 5 hours a week per class and they must report attendance each week Yes, students must work a minimum of 25 hours a week and they must report attendance each week Course Length/ Schedule Students have 9 weeks to complete each.5 credit class. They can arrange 1-1 support on the phone, in-person or in an online meeting room. Students With Special Needs Indicate on enrollment form. Must provide a copy of the IEP to receive support. Home school IEP team determines if/how student’s needs can be met in online courses before student can be approved for concurrent enrollment. COA will work with the student’s home school IEP support team to be sure student’s needs are met. Required IEP meeting with student and parent, Home school IEP Team, and COA Administration before enrollment is complete. Final Exams Taken in-person at our Testing Center at the Chandler Christian Church within 1 week of course end-date.
