Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen Prayer for the Sick

I’ll never get better. I’ll never enjoy doing anything again.
This woman is physically ill, but she is also thinking in a way that isn’t good. Why not? God shows His healing love and power through the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. Copy one speech bubble , then write another speech bubble what she would be saying, if she was healed spiritually Repeat, for a second bubble. **How important is it to be healed in these ways? God hates me. That is why I am ill. I don’t believe in a good God anymore. Please God help me to be patient with the pain. I am so lucky to have people around me who care. I can’t put up with this pain, day in, day out ! I am angry at everyone around me! I’ll never get better. I’ll never enjoy doing anything again. I am afraid. What if this illness leads to death? I am afraid of death. I hate myself. My life has no point now. Other people just have to look after me.
