B.Has a ServeComm that does some of the above. C.Has a ServeComm in name only. D.Does not have a ServeComm but would like to have one. E.Does not have a ServeComm and would not like to have one.

What Does ServeComm Do? Set/work toward service goals –Variety of projects-Hours –Variety of chairs-Number of projects –Project frequency-Special projects Solicit projects/respond to requests Build service calendar/program Seek/train project chairs Evaluate projects Enhance service program (speakers, recognition, etc.)

Why ServeComm? No one can (or should) do it all Build a depth of leadership Input from a variety of perspectives Planning for now and the future Take advantage of Brothers’ experience/develop Brothers’ skills Evaluate projects less personally Solve problems and celebrate – together

Theta/U. of Virginia Louisa County High School: organized a cleanup project at school with students in the Interact Club Renovated courtyard, landscaping, bench building, painting, etc. APO mentored small groups of students

Alpha Epsilon/Louisiana State U. Cookout for children at Parker House (facility for children who are taken out of abusive/neglectful homes ) Also played games outside with the children

Rho Rho/U. of California - Irvine Staffed an information booth for the Kids Who Care Foundation Hosted a card-making event for the children The foundation assists the families of children who are undergoing major surgeries
