11 2.0 Get Youth Input (Troop) Ask patrol leaders to seek ideas from his patrol on programs, likes and dislikes. Patrol Leader’s Council (PLC) plans the program Scoutmaster prompts them: What do they want to do, Where they want to go, etc. Discuss troop goals Review resources

12 2.0 Get Youth Input (Crew) Crew Officers use the Activity Interest Survey to gather members interests Crew Officers plan the program Advisor prompts them: What do they want to do, Where they want to go, etc. Discuss Crew goals Review resources (Program Capability Inventory)

13 3.0 Conduct Annual Planning Conference Who Attends? Committee Chairman Committee Members Charter Organization Representative Scoutmaster/Cubmaster/Advisor Assistant Scoutmasters/Den Leaders/Associate Advisors Youth (Troop - SPL) (Crew – President & Officers) Unit Commissioner/ District Representative

14 3.0 Conduct Annual Planning Conference Look for date conficts. Watch for conflicts in personal calendars with active troop committee members. Include your Charter Organization Representative and be sure that he/she has a copy of the plan.

15 3.0 Conduct Annual Planning Conference Things to remember: Monthly activities Recruiting Events Fundraising Dates/Deadlines Crossovers District & Council Events (Camporees, Cub Scout Camp, Klondike)

18 4.0 Communicate the Plan Finalize the written unit calendar Communicate, communicate and communicate! Planning not complete until all impacted parties have been informed of the plan. Things may change, but a plan is still an important and valued tool for the well run program!
