11 5 Minute interview – Marked this year (Remember they need to bring a resume!!) When would you like it to be done during the day? Age of Competitors - Secondary Students less than 22 in Dec Interview

12 Coordinators Job 1.Decide how many competitors you can have for your competition and coordinate with coaches 2.Check room out today to make sure the room is OK. 3.Fill out the Competition Overview sheet today that gives us info about room set up 4.Write the scopes for your competition in consultation with your subject group 5.Set up the competition night before with help from others. 6.Coordinate competition the day of and hand in results 7.Get judges for competition

13 Budget – needs to be approved by Dave Lewis – try to get donations of materials for the competition but let Dan Bujold know who you are contacting first PLEASE. Get invoices in to New Street by May 15 th with the Budget Request for attached. (one per vendor) Invoices

14 Online Registration Registration will close March 13 th and NO hand written forms will be accepted! Sit down with student to register and you will receive 2 emails. Please print off both the summary of student information and the 2 signed waiver forms and send Secondary to Elin or Bernadette for Elementary. Only COMPLETE registration forms will be accepted. Incomplete forms will be sent back. Check for signatures on BOTH forms!

17 Competition Locations 1. See map provided for locations that have been decided. Please look at map of school and decide where your event will go and let Mike Druiven know. 2. Check out location for electrical requirements, plumbing etc. to make sure it is OK. 3. If you wish to change your location, come back to library and let Mike know PLEASE.

19 Student Teachers We are looking into Brock & OISE student teachers to be involved with our competitions. They could be helping with judging, organizing etc. Let us know how you would like to use them.

22 Appeals Committee Dave Lewis and Cathy Jenkins are chairing the Appeals committee In line with the Ontario Skills Competition Competitor appeals You must put in appeal within 5 minutes of the ending of the competition (before closing ceremonies)

23 Parking Milton Sports Centre Shuttle bus every 15 Minutes Shuttle starts at 6:30 am Shuttle ends at 8 pm

24 Now what?? If you are a coordinator please stand under your competition name so people can come to you and then you can decide where you will meet. If you want to see the competition room, please see Dean, Mike Druiven, Melanie from CK.
