4. The Basics… Walt Disney
He decided that trash, costume characters, etc needed to be out of sight to keep the magic of Disney alive.
Disney built these corridors at ground level. Dirt removed for the making of the Seven Seas Lagoon was put over the corridors. WDW is actually the second story.
Each ride was planned on storyboards by the Imagineers, Walt Disney World’s engineers, before construction began.
All things come and go from the first “underground” story of Magic Kingdom. While guests enter the park each day from the second story “Main Street”.
Park visitors under sixteen are not allowed in these “underground” corridors because it would the ruin the magic of Walt Disney World.
