7 Eligibility Criteria oSection A: General Criteria oSection B: National Scope oSection C: International Scope To achieve Eligibility, NSOs must meet : oall the criteria in Section A. oall criteria in either Section B or C.

9 Eligibility Criteria Section B oThe NSO has a minimum of 3,000 members. oThe NSO has a minimum of 8 affiliated PSOs oThe NSO has a National Championship in which a minimum of 6 PSOs compete regularly in at least one category.

11 Eligibility Criteria Section C oAffiliated with International Body (WFDF) o35 member countries of the International Body oMinimum of 20 countries have competed in the last 4 senior championships oAt least 1 top 8 finish since 1996 at a world championship

12 Eligibility Criteria Section A oSport Canada “Definition of sport” oNSO is the single national governing body oVolunteer leadership structure (democratically elected) oIncorporated under Part III of Canadian Corp. Act

13 Eligibility Criteria Section A oConstitution & by-laws in French & English oAudited financial statements for the last 4 yrs oCommitted to providing its safe sport programs based on Long Term Participant/Athlete Development Model oMulti-year plan (ratified by the Board of directors)

14 Eligibility Criteria Section A oFormally committed to the principle of technically and ethically sound coaching education and conduct. oFormally committed to the principle of technically and ethically sound officiating education and conduct. oAdopted the Canadian Policy on Doping in Sport. oFormal policy on Official Languages

15 Eligibility Criteria Section A oPolicy demonstrating commitment to equity and access (women, persons with a disability and Aboriginal peoples) oPolicy on athlete centeredness and can demonstrate the direct involvement of high performance athletes in decision-making. oRecognizes the role and importance of certified coaches through their involvement in athlete development programs and in the technical direction of national team programs.

16 Eligibility Criteria Section A oFormal policy on harassment and abuse, including procedures for the reporting and for the investigation of complaints. oInternal Appeal process consistent with established principles of due process and natural justice and containing a provision that allows disputes to be referred to the alternate dispute resolution services of the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada.
