2. PROBLEM STATEMENT Speed  Minimize the amount of time in class needed to take attendance, goal is automation. Accuracy  Maximize the overall accuracy of the attendance method, needs to be as accurate if not more. Convenience  Minimize the interface between the instructor and the device before and after setup. Cost  Minimize cost needs to be kept low and affordable by a professor

3. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES Speed  Device sits in the front of class and scans student's blue-tooth devices to check attendance. Accuracy  To ensure accuracy, extensive testing will be done to correct and minimize errors. Convenience  Professor has a GUI and minimal choices in order to increase efficiency. Outputs to an Excel File. (.csv) Cost  Minimize hardware components, Raspberry Pi 35$ and the blue- tooth device 20$ will allow for a price point of around 60-70$.

8. TECHNOLOGICAL ACCOMPLISHMENT Attendance is tied to the Bluetooth device which a faster and more convenient way to take attendance. Attendance is exported to a Excel.csv file to eliminate time consuming manual upkeep. Connect a variety of different technologies to make the tracking process simple and easy.
