4 How are we getting there?  District school buses  Chaperones may drive separately

5 Why are we going?  Hancock Elementary wants to provide our students with a wide variety of educational experiences. Our goal for the Camp Sky Y trip is for all students to learn the standards through hands-on experiences while building their character traits. Caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility are integrated within the standards-based lessons. While learning, students will become aware of the positive impact they can have with each other, their teachers, and the environment. We also think it will be FUN!

6 What are we going to do there?  The fifth graders at Hancock will experience a three-day outdoor education program consisting of educational classes and team building activities. The outdoor education classes are based on the Arizona Department of Education Science Standards and also compliment the State Reading and Social Studies Standards. The activities are taught by the camp instructors and supervised by Hancock teachers and parent chaperones.
