5 Certification Process  Documentation-driven. Deadline Sept 15.  Two levels:  Bronze 150 points.  Silver 350 points  EC: 150+ points can be documented - projecting Bronze Certification.  Announcement of certified communities -- NJ State League of Municipalities Convention, November 2010.  Three-year certification

6 Certification does not indicate that a municipality is "sustainable." It indicates that the municipality has taken the first significant step on the journey toward sustainability.

9 Land Use & Transportation  Sidewalk system promoting walking and biking  Extensive bicycle lanes and paths in concert with Township road projects.  Trolley Line Trail through the center of the community to promote exercise and alternative means of transportation  West Windsor Township portion of the Capital to Coast Trail.  Pilot “rain garden” to treat pavement stormwater runoff at the Ronald R.
