6 Professional Development Update Flex Day Workshops Taming Your MPC Online Grade Book Many of the appointments during drop-in hours are about the grade book. Using MPC Online to Support Your Face-to-Face Course 75% of MPC Online use is to support face-to-face classes

7 Professional Development Update MPC Online Newsletter A new resource for faculty; will be distributed at the beginning of each month December’s newsletter will focus on end-of- semester activities: end-of-semester checklist academic integrity in online courses upcoming spring 2015 events link to faculty feedback survey

8 Professional Development Update Faculty Coffee & Chat Sessions Will resume for Spring 2015 and take place on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of each month (beginning on Feb 2015) Possible topics for spring: Tracking student progress with MPC Online reports Designing effective online quizzes Creating interactive online lessons Managing online course workload

9 Professional Development Update Faculty Certification Workshops We currently offer five courses and two levels of certificates: Online Teaching Certificate (1 & 2 courses) Online Design Certificate (1-5 courses & practicum) The courses are scheduled to begin again February 2015 We will expand courses based on faculty needs
