1 Freshman Orientation August 24, 2010

2  Volunteers will help freshmen move in on the morning of august 24.  drive to main gate to have a volunteer assigned to you.  Volunteer will accompany you to the dorm.  Volunteer will arrange for luggage carts.

3  After moving in, volunteer will help you set up your computer and demonstrate accessing the library and other online services.

4  Volunteer will explain how to avoid long lines at the bookstore and how to order online.  Volunteer will accompany you to the bookstore for a firsthand look around.

5  Tuesday, august 24  8:30 AM -11 AM- students check in at main gate  12:00 PM -1:00 PM- student – parent orientation Session at South Campus Hall  1:00 PM- student lunch at the main Dining Room  5:15 PM– 7:00 PM- barbeque at North Campus  7:00 PM – 9:00 PM- break to relax in rooms and unpack  9:00 PM – 10:30 PM- choice of bowling or miniature golf

6  Wednesday, August 25  7:30 AM – 8:30 AM- breakfast at the Main Dining Room  8:30 AM – 9:00 Am- groups meet to leave for volunteer sites  9:00 AM – 4:00 pm- work at volunteer sites  5:45 PM- Dinner at local Princeton restaurants  7:00 PM- 9:00 PM-game night  9:00 PM- movie

7 Monday through Friday Breakfest 7:00 A.M- 9:30 A.M Lunch 11:00 A.M- 1:15 P.M Dinner(Monday through Thursday) 4:45 P.M- 6:30 P. M Dinner ( Friday) 4:45 P.M- 7:00 P.M Saturday Breakfast 7:30 a.m-9:30 a.m. Lunch 10:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. Dinner 4:44 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. Sunday Brunch 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Dinner 4:45- 7:00 p.m.

8  Meal plans: freshmen MUST participate in one meal plan outlined in dining options brochure.  Rules You must have an ID card All meal plans apply to the Main dining room Only meal plans in Category I and V can be used at the food cort, located in the student building. Note dining hours posted for this location

9 Go to the Visitors’ center- Building B, located at main gate – Pick up campus map – Learn some cool facts about Meadowland Bys service – Local transport around campus. Pick up in front of main gate and will transport you to North and South campus Walking Escorts – Available at night. Dial 555-walk Call 555-555-5555 for more details about bus service

10  Attend the Activities Fair  August 28, Administration Building, 4:00 p.m. Where you will learn about Medowland’s many clubs and organizations  Student Clubs  Countless clubs, intramural sports teams and volunteer organizations will enrich your mind, body and spirit Student-lead Student created
