11 Microsoft Applications Enhanced—Word & Excel b Full year, every day for 1 credit, 6 pds./cycle b Grades 10, 11 or 12 b Microsoft Office 2010 b Advanced and Post-Advanced Skills (second-half of each program) b Preparation for Microsoft Certification tests b Prerequisites: Basic typing skill., and Microsoft Applications Essentials required (74% or higher) or successful completion of Placement Tests in Word & ExcelBasic typing skill., and Microsoft Applications Essentials required (74% or higher) or successful completion of Placement Tests in Word & Excel

12 Certification = College Credit b Each certification earns one lower level college credit (ACE credit). b All community colleges, Penn State campuses and many more accept these credits (see web site for listing). b Courses prepare students to pass course exemption and placement tests as well.

13 Microsoft Certification Testing Site  All levels of Microsoft Applications are designed to prepare students for the Microsoft Certification Program.  Check Mrs. Bean’s web site for a list of registered testing sites and more information.  Test is an individual option (not required).
