2 Important Dates to Remember Dec. 12th– Last day to turn in schedule form to your ELA teacher Dec. 12th– Last day to turn in Office Application and copy of report card to the counseling office. May 29th – Last day to turn in OCPE form **JUNE 11th– Last day for schedule changes**

3 High School Graduation Plan Foundation Plan with Endorsements : 4 years English 4 years Math* 4 years Science 3 years Social Studies 1 year PE 2 years Foreign Language* 1 year Fine Arts* 7 Electives from one of the following endorsements: 1. STEM 2. Business and Industry 3. Public Services 4. Art/Humanities 5. Multi-Disciplinary

4 Distinguished Graduation Plan 4 credits of Math including Algebra II 4 credits of Science Curriculum requirements of at least one endorsement.

5 High School Credit Classes at Doerre All high school credit courses grades are posted on your high school transcript A student who misses more than 9 days in a semester will be denied credit unless Dr. note is presented Students must be present on the day of the course final exam or they will receive a zero unless they provide a Dr. note Exams may not be taken early

22 EXPLORATORY LANGUAGE Intermediate school elective class that explores different languages around the world –Not a High School Credit!

23 Spanish I or French I Spanish I or French I Must have a year end average in ELA of 80 or higher High school credit course with intense curriculum/expectations –Grade will post to high school transcript for colleges to see Students required to do homework and study vocabulary and grammar 20-30 minutes per night Recommend strong study skills and good attendance

24 Spanish II Prerequisite – Successful completion of Spanish I Satisfies 2 nd year requirement for Recommended Graduation Plan Expectation is to perform at a high level of proficiency at the 2 nd year level with grade posting to your high school transcript

25 Spanish I for Native Speakers Accelerated Spanish course for native speakers who demonstrate readiness on a placement test showing informal Spanish skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing Spanish.

27 Digital Design Media Production Prerequisite –No more than 2 U’s in Technology Application grades in 6 th or 7 th grade Combines computer skills of electronic design, editing, and production of a product Mastery of Reading and Math STAAR required High School Credit Elective Course Full year course

28 Reading Adolescent Literature For students who read on or above grade level and enjoy the opportunity to select books to read and share with others in class

29 For students who enjoy a challenging, mental math course and have strong math skills. FULL YEAR COURSE NUMBER SENSE

30 Path I HS Provides instructional support for Pre AP classes Requires in school tutoring and after school tutoring Builds study and research skills High School Elective credit

31 SEMESTER ELECTIVES Each class is a half year course. You must choose two to equal a full year.

32 Intro to Tech Theater This class will includes units of study in play analysis, stage set up, along with props, costume and make up.

33 Crafts 3 dimensional Art class with hands on art projects Fee required to cover cost of projects No previous experience with Art needed

39 Professional Communications Semester High School Credit Elective Students will explore a variety of career options and develop an understanding of the relationship between academic skills and potential career goals

40 Communication Applications High school elective credit class that develops professional and social speaking skills

41 Health High School Credit Elective Topics include personal responsibility for fitness and wellness
