4 What is the Human Services Directory? The Human Services Directory (HSD) is a FREE on-line database that provides Practitioners and Service Providers with access to information about health, social and disability services in Victoria. The HSD is also the database of information accessed when clients search for services on the Better Health Channel. http://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/ http://www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au/

5 Who uses the HSD and what is it used for? GPs and Health Professionals use the HSD to search for services to refer their clients to. Nurse on Call, HealthSmart, Disability Online and other telephone and online advice services use the HSD to search for services. Clients access the information on the HSD via the Better Health Channel by searching for a service they are looking for.

6 Why should I put my information on it? The HSD is easy to use and it’s FREE. If your information is not on the HSD, your service will not be seen by health practitioners, telephone advice services and potential clients who are using the HSD or the Better Health Channel.
