Warm the students up with the songs ‘head, shoulders,… from you tube. Encourage them to point to different parts of their body as they sing. Then show different flash cards of body parts (Flashcard # 38 – 42). Play the audio and let the students practice the correct pronunciation. (Audio CD 1 track # 30, 31)

Display the story poster and let the students listen to the story about the body parts (Audio CD 1 track # 32) Let the students point to their body parts as it is mentioned in the story. Encourage the students to come in front and act the story.

Encourage the students to differentiate between one arm and two arms. Focus on the end sound of ‘s’. Elicit from the students plurals of different nouns. Then tell them that ‘this is’ is ‘friend’ of one object. And ‘these are’ is ‘friend’ of more than one object so they are always together. GROUP WORK: Each group pastes the correct beginning for each sentence. (Worksheet attached)
Students try to differentiate between single nouns and plural nouns and use proper beginning for them.
