2. How to Use this PowerPoint This PowerPoint has a story that is written at a first grade readability level. The grammar parallels the level of complexity found in 1 st grade DIBELS passages. The animation shows children how to “unpack” complex sentences to find the component simple sentences. Then, each step in the PowerPoint will show how the simple sentences are combined to form complex sentences.
